I notice that you have since added copyright notices to your material.  There was no infringement willfullness in displaying your information, nor unwillingness to remove it, as stated in my previous email, if you would like it removed, it shall be done.  (It's done)   2) I don't know if you stole my ebook or if someone sent you a copy for review.  Hacking in to my website and displaying a free link to a commercial product is illegal.  I would have provided you a review copy for free had you asked, but you didn't.   3) Regarding your request for payment, sorry I will not pay you anything.  If you want to sue me for $20. feel free.  Your information on Skin Cap is not relevant to anything in my book and does not add any value to it.   4) As stated previously, I have permission from the NPF to use postings from their "It Works for Me Column" both from their magazine and website.  I have been a member of NPF for over 20 years and I support their efforts.   Regarding your opinion of me, let me say this.  First I'm disappointed we got off to a bad start regarding this situation.  It doesn't have to be that way, unless you make it so.  I had a lot of respect for you and what you have done over the years for people suffering with psoriasis, and yes I'm one of those, for 25 years.   When I first discovered how successful the water softening was with my situation, my first thoughts were to go to some of the message boards and forums and relate my success to people using that treatment.   Then I thought about it some more.  The problem with postings like that, people go thru the list of postings, reading one after another, and nothing really sinks in.  They seldom act on anything they read, normally just blowing it off, and then they click and they off to another website........   So I decided to put the information into an ebook form and share the knowledge I've acquired over 25 years of living with the disease.  By charging a nominal fee for the book, I've settled on a price of $19.95 after testing different prices, I find that people will actually do the treatment, which is the only way it works.  It takes action.  People when they get "free" information tend to put little value on it and seldom act.  Psychology 101.    The other reason for charging a fee for the information is that it costs a lot of money to reach people via advertising.  The days of the free Internet are history. That business model doesn't work.  While you may be able to operate your website for free, that's your choice, mine is different.  I'm trying to reach a lot of people and the only way to do that is thru paid search engine listings.  Having my site ranked as number 187,000 out of 300,000 isn't going to help anyone.   The only negative comments I've received besides yours, are from people who have not seen the book and just label it as a scam because I'm selling something rather than giving it away freely.  Seems to be a common occurence in all forums, people get behind a keyboard and will say things they would not say to your face and their comments are strictly conjecture, not based on any facts.   Of the small number of people who have received the ebook (there's more free copies out than paid copies) I have heard nothing but stellar results.  One of my test subjects in the Yahoo Psoriasis group had suffered for 45 years and she is clearer then she has ever been.  She was the first to get started, been doing the treatment for 3 weeks now.  I have 2 letters posted on my website from her, she is one happy gal.  I have some other test subjects who were provided with free copies who are just getting started.  I picked Zoella, the gal above, to test because she had 85% - 90% coverage, and had never been in remission over 45 years.  I figured if it could help her, it would probably help anyone.   This has gotten longer than what I intentioned Ed, but I want you to know where I'm coming from.  I'm not trying to be controversial, I'm not interested in a war, or a lawsuit.  Those things are all negative and I'm trying to do positive things to help people with their psoriasis, just as you are.  We are just doing it in different ways.   I suggest we both take a deep breath and stop the fighting.  It is not beneficial to you, me, or the psoriasis public.  While we don't have to be "friends", we don't have to be enemies either.  I'd rather work with you than fight a battle where there are no winners. The advice from my attorney is "I hope you guys will move past this" which is probably good advice!   Your information has been removed from my book.  I am not happy about your "review" of my book on your site, it's your opinion which you can legally express.  Obviously I would prefer a more complimentary review, or neutral at the worse.  I don't feel it to be very objective and it's not like you are protecting the public from something that is detrimental to their well being.  My recommended treatment is working wonders for people and your knocking me and it is not doing anyone any favors.   So let me know how you want to proceed.  I've made my points and you know how I feel. I hope you will agree that it is in everyone's best interest to put this behind us and go forward in a postive way.   Sincerely,   Jim Longnecker   ________________________________________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
