The multitude of problems I had with Flashcom had nothing to do with the CLEC, in my case PacBell. Delays, outrageous overbilling, cutting my connect speed in half after two months, extreme rudeness, no tech support for days during an outage, unresponsiveness, etc... They blamed as much of that on Pacbell as they could, when in fact they were all problems with Flashcom, its management, and boneheaded policies. See http://www.pinch.com/flashcom/ for details. Even though I closed the account in January, I am still cleaning up the billing mess. I will never trust them again, for anything. In the SF Bay Area, Northpoint is considered the premium CLEC, Covad used to be number two, and PacBell number three, but PacBell now has a 384k bandwidth guarantee, and 1.5M/128k service for $39/mo + ISP fee. Remember, that's just the local loop. PacBell Internet (PBI) sucks rocks. -- Ed "not even if you paid me" Anderson Displayed using a script by Ed Anderson
